Welcome to my first weekly roundup! If you aren't interested in combing through social media to see what I put out this week then this will be the place for you every Sunday.
Each drawing session I start with a fun sketch for my daughter's lunch box. These are alway done with my daughter in mind and do double duty as a warm up for me and as a fun way to make my daughter smile during her school day. This week I realized that it feels a bit weird to be broadcasting the full note to my daughter to the world. So I will be leaving the words off of the notes as I work through my back log.
This drawing is titled That time when there were sharks and may be my new favorite. I feel like it's cheating a bit to take credit for this one... I drew it but the kids imagined it! My husband and I just lived it. Who knew that sharks in the living room could be such a loving moment?
Just... Toddlers. *sigh*
Squirrels are the Snidely Whiplashes of the gardening world. They would tie my flowers to the train tracks if they could! This drawing got away from me a bit and I know I could get it a little bit better. I may redo it another day when I'm angry at those darn sunflower head stealing squirrels again.
My final drawing this week was this self portrait. Slightly more realistic than I usially go with and I'm looking forward to playing a bit more with this style in the future.
And that's it! Happy Sunday! I hope everyone has a fabulous week!
Hi! I'm Elisabeth McCamish! I'm an artist and illustrator. I take most of my inspiration from my family, my garden, and any passing whimsy. I do a weekly roundup of what I'm working on here. For daily updates check me out on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Enjoy!
